The Bible Society for the Netherlands and Flanders aims to work together with all churches in the Netherlands and Flanders. For this reason, you will find a range of things we can help you with on this site.
United Bible Societies
The Bible Society for the Netherlands and Flanders is a member of the international network United Bible Societies (UBS). UBS is a worldwide network of over 150 local Bible Societies working in 184 out of the 195 countries of the world. Together, we want to ensure that the Bible is available for everyone who wants it.
In the Netherlands and Flanders
The Bible Society for the Netherlands and Flanders is involved in an extensive range of projects. For example the Bible site debijbel.nl, which offers the opportunity to read and search a range of Bible translations and background information about the Bible in different languages, or the introduction of the Sranantongo Bible and Bible Sunday.
Worldwide
The Bible Society for the Netherlands and Flanders is a member of the United Bible Societies. The UBS represents more than 150 national Bible societies working in more than 200 countries and regions.

Bible Basics
The Bible Society for the Netherlands and Flanders has developed a Sunday School method: Bible Basics. Its stories allow the children to get to know the breadth and wealth of the Bible.
The unique thing about Bible Basics is that this method prioritizes both the Bible and the child. Bible Basics stays close to the original Bible stories, and offers additional information with the stories and with the time and setting of the Bible. This makes it possible for the stories themselves to speak to the children. It is suited for both small and large groups, and offers a range of elements like discussion questions and all sorts of learning activities.
Bible Basics is free, and available in both Dutch and English.
