  • Project of the month October: Give Bibles to refugees in Colombia

Every day, men, women, and children cross the border between Venezuela and Colombia—often with nothing more than a suitcase or a plastic bag. They are fleeing poverty, food shortages, political oppression, and violence. Many are exhausted, afraid, and have left behind everything that once shaped their lives. The NBG supports local churches in Colombia so that they can help refugees with practical care and Bibles full of hope.

Matthew 22:1 – :

1-2Jesus gave another example to explain God's new world. He said: 'A king gives a big feast because his son is getting married. 3He orders his servants to fetch the guests for the feast. But the guests do not want to come. 4Then the king sends other servants to the guests, with the message: 'Listen, the meal is ready. The cows and bulls have been slaughtered and everything is ready. Come to the feast!' 5But the guests do not listen. They go to do other things. Some go to their land to work. Others go to their shop. 6And still others seize the king's servants. They beat them and kill them. 7Then the king becomes very angry. He sends his soldiers to kill the murderers and set their city on fire. 8Then the king says to his servants: 'Everything is ready for the feast. But the guests are not worthy to come!' 9So go out into the country now, and invite everyone you meet. 10The servants go into the land. They take everyone they meet with them, good people and bad people mixed together. In this way, many guests come to the feast. The guest who is not welcome11The king comes to check on the guests. He sees a man who is not wearing festive clothes. 12The king says: "Tell me, friend, how can you come here without festive clothes?" The man does not know what to say. 13Then the king says to his servants: 'Bind him by his hands and feet, and throw him outside. Take him far away, to the darkest place, where everyone weeps with misery and regret.' 14Then Jesus said: 'So it will be with the new world. Many people have been invited to it, but there are few who truly belong.' A question with bad intentions
