How is your contribution to Bible distribution used optimally?
With your support, the Dutch-Flemish Bible Society can:
- Translating and distributing the Bible in the Netherlands and Flanders
- Supporting 750+ Bible projects worldwide
- Passing the Bible on to new generations
- Offering the Bible online
To give an example: Distributing a Bible somewhere in the world costs an average of 5 euros. If you support Bible distribution with 10 euros monthly, you are therefore giving away 2 Bibles every month. Or, with the same amount, after two months you are giving away a Braille Bible book worth an average of 17,50 euros. Your donation is always spent where it is needed most.
About the NBG
The Netherlands-Flemish Bible Society (NBG) has been bringing the Bible closer for over 200 years. We want people at home and abroad to have access to the Bible.
The NBG is committed not only in the Netherlands and Flanders, but also worldwide. If people cannot read the Bible in the language of their heart, we work with local translators on a translation. We want to ensure that the Bible is accessible to everyone. That is why we provide free Bibles or cheaper editions, or we contribute to a braille or audio version, for example. And together with other Bible societies, we develop children's products, because we want every child to have the opportunity to get acquainted with the Bible.

Our impact
For more than 200 years, the NBG has been bringing the Bible closer to the world together with its donors.
In 2022, as part of the United Bible Societies, we distributed 35,5 million Bibles. We also worked on 748.973 different Bible translation projects, enabling everyone to read a Bible in their own language.
In the Netherlands and Flanders, we reach 1,3 million visitors annually via our digital platforms such as debijbel.nl. Through our Dagvers podcast, we reach more than 50.000 listeners monthly. But the NBG also develops special Bibles and other materials for (migrant) churches, families, and children to bring the Bible closer to everyone.
