ESG Policy

We consider it important to be mindful of the environment, social issues, and good governance. Therefore, we have drawn up an ESG policy.

Starting in 2026, we will report annually on our progress.

Annual reports

We are able to carry out our Bible work at home and abroad thanks to the support of over 100.000 people: members and donors. In the annual report, everyone can see how the donations have been spent over the past years.

United Bible Societies

The NBG is part of the international network organization United Bible Societies (UBS). The UBS is a worldwide network of over 150 local Bible societies operating in 184 of the world's 195 countries. In this way, we ensure that everyone who wants it has access to the Bible.

CBF recognition passport

What is the Recognition?
The Erkenning is the quality mark for charities issued by the CBF, the Charity Regulator. With the Erkenning, organizations demonstrate that they meet strict quality requirements. Naturally, different requirements apply to larger organizations than to smaller ones. Approximately 80 percent of private donations are now under the supervision of the CBF. You can donate with confidence to an Erkenning Charity because you can assume that the organization actually contributes to a better world, handles every euro carefully, is accountable, and allows itself to be independently audited.

Transparency at a glance: The CBF Recognition Passport
The CBF Recognition Passport displays the key information of a Recognized Charity in a clear and neutral manner. Transparency at a glance. The passport contains both qualitative information regarding the organization's objectives and activities, as well as key financial figures. The latter have been validated by the CBF. You can view our CBF Recognition Passport via this banner.
